*Transitional/Marble: When the record plant cuts records on black vinyl, the cutting process goes through a “transition” phase as they begin cutting white records. When they introduce the white ink to the printing process, there is black ink still remaining in the line, and some of the records get a marble-like color. The transition (or marble-color) of each record varies.
